I tried this out. Itâs cool but itâs also almost impossible to play it. You go way too fast and you wipe out instantly if you so much as tap another car.

Okay listen I thought really hard about posting this here or the politics thread, but can someone please just tell me Iâm not fucking crazy for thinking itâs sick shit of the helldivers 2 developers to make a new update where players have to defend a shopping mall themed city named âEagleopolisâ geographically located on top of Gaza or at the very least Israel

I suspect it can be explained by poor geographical knowledge on the UI designerâs part. Feels like something that could be read as poor taste at parody by any party but my guess is no-one checks that stuff because you donât usually go to Earth right?
My understanding is that the invasion of Earth was something they have been building up to for quite some time. This is a big event. Itâs fucking crazy this made it past people at every point in the process.

My best guess is that they were going for the imaginary Saudi wonder city NEOM (which has an imaginary district called âAquellumâ) and muffed the geography a little - in reality
(to the extent it exists in reality) itâs only a bit south of the bottom of Israel.
So itâs still gross, but in a âhumoring an insane tyrant whoâs known to find video gamesâ way rather than a âjoking about genocideâ way.
