nah, dragonâs crown looks great. like yeah some of the titty designs are cartoonishly distracting, but the style in general has this rich baroque sense to it. unicorn overlord has a more generic visual style (tactics ogre + light anime) but is otherwise gorgeous
13 Sentinels was extremely good, in terms of writing and narrative structure and the VN-esque elements and the entertaining enough strategy gameplay. I never really liked them before that.

And their style changed completely in 13 Sentinels: they abandoned their plays of shape and proportion, and went hard on extravagant twilight lighting effects instead. I didnât even realize 13 Sentinels was by the Odin Sphere devs when I played it, and was surprised when I was reminded of the connection later
Unicorn Overlord is basically going back to their traditional fantasy style, but you can see they also learned something from their experiment. The proportions are now a little less exaggerated, and the lighting is more directional and affects the character sprites more naturally
voiceover sounds like me recording a school presentation, all the inconsistent emphases and clipped-together sentences
