Make a game about getting lost in the pine woods of the Eastern united states and you aren’t afraid of ghosts (I mean you are) but you’re also afraid you’ll end up on someone’s property and they’ll shoot you.

I’m really really disapointed this is what the Paradise Killer people did next.

Also on this list Stray and Little Kitty Big City.

Japan is like SO COOL. I love egg sandwiches from Lawsons. You can just eat from convience stores and they are so good!!!

Out of all Personae, 4 resembles my adolescence the most, but it’s still not much like it. For instance, there aren’t enough moments where you get sort of trapped in a party or hangout and can’t leave because you don’t have a car.

I haven’t played the Life is Strange games but isn’t that a French developer’s image of American adolescence? Curious what they got wrong and right, as outsiders

weirdly, attack of the friday monsters is the game that felt most like my childhood, despite representing a significantly more positive view of the rural childhood than i ever would. (and also despite being set in a different country, continent, culture, and decade than my actual childhood)

Where’s the game where your girlfriend makes you watch MTV at 3 volume until she falls asleep so you can drive home and play Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance with your buddy until 2am and then go get potato skins at Perkins

Might have a limited audience, but

I think we’re underrating how many game developers’ memories of childhood genuinely are for-export-only versions of Japanese culture

out today

seen a lot of hype about this game, which means it’s a 50/50 chance i’ll either like or hate it as with most indie prestige type things

I thought there were actually a couple of cool things in here, I look forward to buying them in Fanatical bundles and never playing them 2-3 years from now
