it’s here
I remember the puzzles not being very good in this game but it’s worth playing through with a guide.
This week’s Arcade Archives is Juno First. Which was in Natsuge right before it closed. It’s a vertical scrolling shooter with a variable acceleration. This emulated version is missing the beautiful starfield overlay on the giant angled screen that really sells you are blasting through space.
Hmm. I can’t even find footage of the cabinet I played with the overlay.
survival horror homages like this, even when they seem to be entirely pastiche with no original ideas, are extremely my thing, but can’t the people making them at least try for a slightly original aesthetic or theme? even giving it a more smooth dreamcast look would be something. maybe set one in the desert? just spitballing here.
Here’s hoping they offer a mode where you can activate the croc texture bug.
For reference:
(just so i can crack the ol’ joke of croc being a transparent character
)
People forget one of the things that gives Parasite Eve 2 such an oppressive atmosphere is that it largely takes place in the desert in broad daylight
Croc Gobbo out the same day as the Switch 2 update. Star aligning, meteors falling.
okay. for what purpose
We are a thousandth of a step closer to the original PS3 version of Disaster Report 4 coming out because of this and that is to be celebrated.
