I think third party games are probably the main reason I play Switch at all.
First party Nintendo is like Pixar, you know it’ll most likely be high quality but generally you already know what you’re getting so it’s hard to get excited about it

For those who don’t know, Xegrader is a game made by Tokuhiro Naito, the main guy behind fucking HYDLIDE, who I think still works at M2. He released a PC-88 version in 2024, and an MSX version last year, but is apparently working on a Steam version, with those other two available as DLCs. So yeah, pretty hyped here, though a little disappointed in the AI disclosure, as they are using it for trophy art (eh, not great, but also not the worst) and for translation (which kinda sucks, but also is not like it’s out of line with the original PC-88 translation of Hydlide 3 (see my sig)). So yeah, still pretty hype.

I haven’t looked but I get the feeling people are focusing on the who cares of the Bethesda announcements and the non-starters of the Capcom showcases (because we already know about these games) and are ignoring the sicko shit shown off briefly on the fringes, like how the NA direct casually showed off the new Culdcept for literal seconds

I assume you’re alluding to the recently released emails where epstein talks to bobby kotick about how microtransactions are the wave of the future. they literally use the phrase “indoctrinate kids into an economy”
Anyway it’s weird how that guy hung out on the island a bunch then one of his companies released like one of the most sexualized games of all time
