In the deep, dark recesses of my brain, where games are ranked by how awesome their boss music is, Wild Guns is easily in the top 100
I think they’ll probably get the same dudes on the music but other than that…
At first I thought this was about Wild Arms and was pff whatever.
I think Wild Guns was maybe the first Real Good SNES Game I Never Heard Of I happened upon through emulation.
Did you know that the first release of ZSNES was over 18 years ago? Earlier than the EU release date of Harvest Moon, US release of Kirby’s Dreamland 3 and other trash.
I also thought this when I saw the topic and the post in news.
Wild Guns owns
Hoping that all the notable cabal-likes get sequels off the heels of this. NAM 1976 could actually happen.
Someone please release GI Joe Arcade ok thanks.
Oh hey, a sequel to a guns-related game that has : Reloaded in the title!
WILD PUNS
Played a lot of Wild Guns with my friends on Zbattle. Great game.
My name is Clint so even greater.
when’s Rapid Reload: Reloaded?
I just read that one can play as a robot-riding doggie in this. Possibly a long haired Dachshund.

Looks so good.
Making me want to replay the Konami Rebirth games.
Hope this eventually gets a PC release so it can be played on CRTs.
Pft, you don’t need a PC release to get it playing on a CRT, just some ingenuity and a bunch of money
Hmm. Just with HDMI converters and stuff? I guess so, but what about getting the game to output native res?
Also, so great:
I had no idea the same sprite artist worked on Shatterhand and Wild Guns and Gundam Wing: Endless Dual. A true hero.
The PS4 only goes down to 480p IIRC, so anything after that would be the work of scan converters and post-processing. It’s kind of an empty quaestion until the game comes out and we see how it handles output anyway, especially seeing as they’re set up for a native widescreen buffer
Omega Five: an okay game with awesome music. Hopefully they get to do more new stuff like that (I’m thinking WG Reloaded might be them introducing themselves to dev tools)
I played this at E3 and it looked and felt great, though I did have a hard time tracking bullets on the opening stage with the resolution increase/amount of players/low contrast of the bullets on the foreground. I’m not experienced with the game though, so I’m not too surprised about running into stuff while getting acclimated.
Yeah the original has that problem, although I think it would be massively increased with 4 players. Could be purposeful though, for me the major challenge of the original was simply tracking the bullets in time to dodge them since so much was going on at all times.
I assume this won’t have a harvest moon-themed farm stage like I’ve always wanted, but I hope they throw in some new modes, survival and new enemy patterns and stuff.
Kind of dreading what Doris’s design will actually look like
The game has a scanline feature
Intensity 0:
Intensity 5:
Intensity 10:
Note at 10 there’s some neat artifacting as well
Also playing as Doris is so good
Natsume put this on Steam pls
This game is fucking good.
