Sony is still killing it by default; this was a very wise move for the wipeout property given that no one is actually working on new titles anymore.

still psyched for gravity rush and nier though I don’t have the appetite to get both of them for full price so we’ll see. It’s almost astonishing that it took this long for someone to get hold of the windjammers license given that I distinctly remember netplaying it in kaillera in like 2001, but heck, good going

I hope absolver comes out as good as it has the potential to, I really love experimental 3D fighting games (still can’t say enough good things about fight night champion)

someone talk to me about this hot new gaming ip now that I own a sony thing again

Standalone Uncharted expansion!

Knack 2 is the game 2016 deserves.

I’ll be damned, the MWO money and assets and mechanics might finally be getting put to good use.

Not sure if I’m digging all the walky talky bits, but maybe they’ll let you do some neat stuff like in the old Crescent Hawks games.

Looks like an emulator filter. I mean, it’s fine. But turning pixel art into something that isn’t pixel art always results in disappointment.

How about a NEW Full Throttle with NEW art?

No, they don’t make anything new any more.

It is beautiful and clumsy and great.

not that this doesn’t look cool, but “standalone expansion” reads to me like “we just didn’t feel like making a whole game!”

the voice actor for ben throttle is dead though

I don’t have a problem with this, games are long enough as it stands.

We got Erusea, we got an impact crater that looks to hark from the Ulysses incident, we have Stonehenge … when do I have that game in my disk drive, is the most important follow-up question.

@sony: Also might sell a PS VR btw, just sayin.

Fuck man.

But I mean they shouldn’t be making Full Throttle 2 either. They should be making new games. But then, every new Double Fine game I’ve played has sucked, even on its own merits re: writing and etc.

So maybe just stop making games???

Your mistake is banking on Tim Schafer when you should be banking on Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick.

I know everyone (most of the internet) is jokingly going “Yeah, Knack 2!”, but man, watch that trailer again and read the previews that are coming out

Knack 2 is legit

Knack Knack machinegun punched Blue Knack and this made Blue Knack do a gatling punch

I’m so fucking in

this is why it’ll only go up to 2

that and the American’s arm’s inability to do any marketing for it

I want you to imagine a game where you’re Superman, but you’ve been turned into an anime and are stuck inside a Euro comic

to be fair, “AAA game that’s almost good but sells enough to motivate a much better sequel that sells like a stone for some reason” is like the dominant model for new big budget properties these days

  1. Gravity Rush was a Vita game, it was never AAA or big budget

  2. The first game will be five years old by the time 2 limps out next month

  3. Shu Yoshida is a cool guy for greenlighting it

you’re right, I probably should’ve said “AA” and “medium budget”
