that is a very cute design
are there websites that go into how to build specific kinds of lego things or anything? I kind of want to get started with building cool spaceship stuff but I have no idea how to start getting the pieces I want or figuring out what pieces are good for different things, etc.
also this thread has been ace since its inception and Iâm sorry I havenât posted in here earlier

I think there are probably tutorials out there dealing with how to build specific types of things and cornerstone techniques like SNOT (Studs Not On Top) which help when you want to build more complex shapes. Search for that or more generally for âAdvanced Lego Building Techniquesâ
As far as piece acquisition, there are sites like:
http://brickset.com/ - gives you a breakdown of all the bricks included in particular Lego sets which is useful not only for acquisition but also for getting a feel for all the little pieces that go into building it (beyond what you see on the surface in pictures)
http://lego.brickinstructions.com/ - a database of Lego set instructions - rather than following these step by step if you find the instructions for sets you like and/or may wish to emulate or borrow techniques from you can have a look at specific bits and incorporate them into your design.
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/main.page - hereâs where you go if you really need to buy specific Lego pieces, Iâm under the impression this can get a little pricey.
