yeah the HOTAS market (Hands On Throttle And Stick, aka, flight sticks) is just through the roof overpriced right now. The only thing available at a sane price is coincidentally also the best-quality entry level flight stick, viz., the VKB Gladiator NXT ($150+shipping)

you really feel the step up in quality from something like Thrustmaster. check out this guy showing off the difference in return to center

if i was a TRUE DOOM DCS-HEAD i would get the Gunfighter Modern Combat Grip which looks like some kind of angry space cobra ($484)

im using kailh box whites

but if i were to go non clicky (and tbh they do get a bit tiring) i would go with a smooth linear or a halo clear (i don’t love tactiles but halo switches are nice)

oh. OHHHH
i thought HOTAS was a company that made everyones favorite flight sticks!

I wonder if I could use the x52 throttle with that stick? my x52 stick is in a pretty sad way, but the throttle is fine

I think you should be able to! as long as the throttle has a separate USB and isn’t just a pass-thru from the stick

a lot of ppl use the thrustmaster TWCS throttle with it, VKB is also (supposedly!) releasing a throttle later this year. if i buy one i’ll wait for VKB probably. not a huge need but it would be easier on my wrist for sure.

on the flipside if anyone has a cheapo throttle unit i’m glad to peruse your wares

oh i guess there’s also this which will come out soon™

yeah the x52 has usb on the throttle with the stick as pass through. fortunate! maybe I’ll spend more money on niche input devices, what could go wrong? thanks for the money today, gamestop

so did i for a long time! they also have that “Thrustmaster HOTAS” or “Warthog HOTAS” which just makes it sound like a model of stick

Ironburg used one of its challenges to dismiss a man who said he owns four of the Steam Controllers at issue and spends several hours a day playing games, including those made by Valve.

Both sides agreed to excuse one woman after she said her husband plays video games up to 12 hours a day, but that she never does, is “absolutely against” ever letting her daughter play and didn’t know if she could be impartial in a case about video games.

The parties eventually selected eight jurors, including a retired Microsoft software engineer who said he is the named inventor on over 10 of the company’s patents and worked on hundreds of others, a grocery store manager whose children are gamers, and a sanitation worker who laughed when asked if he ever plays video games.

Pretty sure that’s a Razer Orbweaver he’s used molding compound to shape the keys and rest on.

I’ve read a lot of digital artists that use these with a pen or mouse.

Almost definitely correct, it’s from a 2017 episode of Manben (an excellent documentary series hosted by Naoki Urasawa) so, two full years of tweaks after its release
