The astro city mini control pad is pretty great! It is surprisingly comfortable.

The mini’s actual arcade controls aren’t bad either. The stick is hurt by its small size but at least it is micro switched. The buttons are very nice. I really like the pad though and am glad I got it. I’ll probably use it a lot on mister.

The d-pad feels similar to my m30 8-bit do pad. Maybe slightly looser. So kind of like a looser saturn d-pad. The buttons are more comfortable than I thought they’d be, but probably not quite as nice as the m30’s. It also has slightly raised grips on the bottom, which wasn’t clear from the pictures I’d seen.

The m30 is my favorite recent controller, but this is an alternative for a good six button pad. I haven’t played any fighters with it yet besides dark edge (and who even knows what is happening in that game), but it was good for cotton, quartet 2, golden axe. Definitely worth it for the astro city mini if you don’t want to spring for the full size arcade stick.

can you compare with the neo geo mini?

Great to hear, @jjsimpso. My astro pad and virtua stick came in yesterday but I can’t open til xmas :frowning:

Unfortunately I cannot compare it with the neo geo mini.

@rudie the astro mini seems way better than the Neo Mini if this video is anything to go by

now just, just hear me out, my idea: some kinda mod that turns it into a xinput mini stick, with the screen acting as a vmu

Filled the bottom of my partner’s keyboard case and the inside of its spacebar with molding silicone, A+, now filling every hollow object in my home with molding silicone.
