tch… i observe the signups from the rooftops above… as shadow the hedgehogs long lost grandma, Beatrice, i dont know my way around computers and forgot to sign up on purpose to hide my true power…i was too busy remembering all those times i asked little shadow to remove the viruses on my computer because i was told i won something only to be tricked…many hard lessons were learned…little did shadow know i downloaded those viruses on purpose so that hed be busy while i made him surprise pumpkin cookies…his favorite…i then realize im late for my bridge club at 930 and pull out a chaos emerald nothing personal, kids… i use chaos control before anyone from the streets below sees me and asks “whos that?” to a stranger and the stranger replies that it looks like beatrice the hedgehog, shadow the hedgehogs grandmother, who made the best cookues in the world, but then the other person replies back that it couldnt be beatrice, shadow the hedgehogs geandmother who would accidentally download viruses onto her computer all the time only to reveal before her sacrifice to save her bridge club from robotniks forces thar she was intentionally doing it all along to distract shadow while she baked him cookies, because she died so long ago…

I’m in the blackest mood, been trying to figure out why, surely something must have triggered this, can’t think of what though, everything’s been pretty okay for the most part, really have no reason to be this low…
But then I remembered…
…I said I was going to run a Sonic Adventure 2 multiplayer tournament.

I know these Eeyore vibes will disappear once I start that stream. I know I’ll be laughing throughout, enjoying the fine play of all my friends while remembering all my favorite Sonic moments, like when Big the Cat went fishing, or when Big the Cat climbed into a mech.
But it’s just so hard not to worry…because it’s sonic Adventure 2…because the game is so buggy, and hateful…because the last time I played it I lost cuz I got stuck under a wheel, and couldn’t escape, until Cania used an unblockable super attack that caused me to fall through the floor, and back to the start of the stage…
That felt so bad. I haven’t been right since. Cuz it just felt so bad.

I tuned in briefly just in time to see I believe both competitors become desynced and hence being trapped behind a giant roller or grinder for ages. I was gonna comment on how beautiful a moment it was but twitch has an odd “you must follow channel a certain period of time before you can comment” system so I lost interest/focus, but then I saw the topic back here and realized I could type it here instead. Granted it ended up taking me 24 hours to do so when if I just waited it’d have only taken me another 10 minutes on twitch, but hey it is nicer here anyways.
I actually turned off the follower requirement later. I had no idea why it was on and it took me too long to figure out how to turn it off!

For the record we tested Sonic Adventure 2 repeatedly, over the course of months, it is an amazing world sometimes, truly magical
was disappointed cuz i thought i couldnt make it and i was just thinking about this game earlier cuz i saw footage of the ps1 original, but… i may have the free time actually… we’ll see
