I’ll be going to Magfest this year in National Harbor, MD, from Jan 2-5, as usual! If anyone’s also going to be there, drop me a line - the group I’m going with will have a room at the Gaylord for drinkin’ and hanging out for the entire convention. I can send out the room number once we find out.
The Protomen are also going this year, so, even if we don’t meet up, if you’re there, you absolutely absolutely absolutely must see them live.
I was fortunate enough to enjoy their hospitality at MAGFest a couple of years ago. I won’t be able to attend myself this year, but I’m envious of anybody who can!
Also, Mothra, @familyjules and I hope you’ll be able to come out Oct 15-18 for SB #4 this year! It’s been too long!
I think out of pure ODD I have to continue refusing to go to the videogame adjacent convention thing that’s like closer to me than my job BUT everyone going must arrange to meet with me at an establishment of your choosing

Yeah I’ll be here again this year, though I think my brothers and roommate might be tagging along this year so I probably won’t really have the room to go elsewhere. I remember when I went to visit your room last time (or did I go to some other SBer?) I had a heck of an adventure getting up and then back down again because I didn’t have a key card to operate the elevators and had to take detours through floors relying completely on what floors I could piggy back off other people and eventually got seemingly locked in a stairwell with some other people, one of whom was trying to get to the dance club which ultimately was actually only accessible by an exclusive elevator elsewhere in the hotel.
Almost certain that was me, yeah.
I forgot they made elevators badge-activated… about two years ago, they made it so you had badge, then click the button.
You can use the stairs, but, I understand it’s kind of a pain in the ass.
I’m coming for the first time on Friday-Saturday and I’ll be with my sister and her newly acquired husband. I’m dreading the poor food decisions that are to come

Is there such a thing as a pinball table with a good HD video display? These all have bad graphics card boxart CG instead of charming dot art. The only okay one is the Munsters because you get to watch clips of The Munsters.
