yeah i played through Mother 1 for the first time (like for real, iād āplayedā it back when the ROM first leaked in the 90s) a few years ago and was really taken by how enjoyable the experience was. a really beautiful game in its simplicity, but the idea of āMotherā is really all there, right from the start.
iāve been wanting to replay M3 for a while now, but i do feel obligated to replay Earthbound, first, since itās beenā¦a long time.
I accidentally triggered the coffee break about three times in a row while playing it on the 3DS on the way to work and was so pissed
3 cups of coffee in a row is a bit much
I started up Earthbound in an attempt to actually finish it finally. Iām like that āHuge Earthbound Fan Excited to Play It for First Timeā meme except I have played it before and Iāve never claimed to be a huge fan of specifically Earthbound. Itās kinda incredible that in spite of loads of games being inspired by Earthbound there really isnāt anything quite like it. It has such a unique feel and look that I donāt think has ever been replicated. As for actually playing the game though I just got the pencil eraser and Iām headed off to peaceful rest valley which I believe Iāve heard is a bit of a difficulty spike, but is unlikely to impede me much cause I play older RPGs all the time.
Also as a side note I actually wanted to start Mother, but the day I did this they cut off our power lines cause they were cutting down the trees in our yard and I hadnāt opened the NES games app in a long enough span of time that it needed to connect to the Internet.
