At some point i subscribed to Verso Books’ mailing list and saw an email saying Mike Davis passed away. I saw him mentioned while half heartedly trying to educate myself and kept meaning to dig into his work if only just to come out of it with a better understanding of LA/California history from a leftist perspective. I guess now’s as good a time as any other…Verso is offering city of quartz as a free ebook but since i dont have an epub reader at the ready it seems to be easily findable as a pdf
