Like most ideas favored by anarcho-communists the idea of federated communes working together sounds great but ultimately as long as global capitalism is still a threat they remain in constant peril without a vigilant worker’s state to help protect them. We all want the same things in the end, though. I think Bookchin and Kropotkin are great…I just don’t think we live in a world where application of those ideas ends in anything but heartbreak yet.
