I would definitely say Schafer would be a budgetary choice as a youth actor whose star is just starting to rise. She has only two credits total and they’re both terrible but popular junk food. That’s on the same wavelength as like casting Rami Malek in 2015

If it was a year or two into Mr. Robot when he was cast I’d agree but my memory is that the advertising for Until Dawn pushed Hayden Panettiere much more heavily as the “star” and that seemed mostly predicated on the brief period around Heroes where people cared about her, i got the impression they got lucky after the fact with Rami. I feel euphoria has a much larger influence with young ppl then ur crediting it for but I see your point even if I’d still like to be stubborn in this totally anecdotal disagreement.

I have a grudge against sam levinson and think he is a terrible terrible man and how he treated amy seimetz is unforgivable so that colors my opinion of his work

im going to say something controversial here, that we often joke about / analyze the homoerotic themes and sensibilities of the hideo kojima softography, and i think he has expressed support for the lgbt on multiple occassions on social media, so hunter schafer is an lgbt actor who is also appealing to the a24 fandom, while also fitting certain beauty standards and speaking english which are both things i think kojipro games cast for
