Mei-Ling, what is Hyper-Pop?
i will never stop listening to loveless
Yeah⦠of course.
who is that
Paul Atreides
Timothee Chalamet
Kojima has this thing where he falls in full nerd love with actors that I really like but feel ride the edge of corny pretty hard, and this is the next one of those in line
Timothee is an amazingly bad actor, he has no range at all and the only reason he has a career is because he is consistently well cast to play exactly the same role as he has irl: spoiled silver spoon princeling
his best role is in Hostiles (he thanks christian bale for picking him for his unit for this mission, bale tells him he didnāt pick him he was forced to take him, next scene heās immediately killed by an arrow the minute they come to a stop on the road)
i think timothee chalamet probably appeals to hideo kojima bc he is a guy who is in both movies with like a24 vibes and also the highly popular science fiction franchise dune (i dont like him) and also in a homosexual way (not my type)
Havenāt seen anything heās in but until he decided to do the most embarassing thing possible ( make awful Hamas joke with snl nepobabies) I felt vaguely neutral-positive about him as far as brainless celebs go due 2
Funny correct pronunciation of his name that rhymes [tim o tay, shall a may]
his original ambition of selling custom-painted xbox 360 controllers through youtube https://youtu.be/aqYAcrSOuaQ
perhaps this kojima visit means heās playing the long game and once heās amassed enough acting funds heāll be the 8bitdo Coppola
I mean the same thing is basically true about keanu reeves except his cast type isnāt quite as cringey
sometimes itās fine for an actor to just look right and not get in the way of them looking right
(I have no opinion on timothee chalamet except that his name sounds made up)
hi tim
thinking about it, yeah, I think having no range and getting typecast as āguy who is coolā is still preferable to the same but typecast as āthe guy who sucksā
but you do open up the potent suggestion that timothee might become interesting to watch when he hits his 50s
