this is probably as good a time as any to let people know that there’s Tomb of the Eaters content in the beta! it’s incomplete but i think it still adds a lot to the game since it comes with some nice additions and changes-- i particularly like the tinkering mods

the new tracks that craigory ham has done are incredible for the tomb

i had my first proper death yesterday, a eunuch who’d just got on top of short blades and had a folded carbide dagger & glowsphere. i’d barely survived the first floor of Golgotha, and i couldn’t find a way down so i jumped down a chute that i was warned looked awfully deep. i took like eight times my max HP in damage and died instantly

HUGE new update has (hopefully) fixed burgeoning! i loved this ability before the tumbling pods were added and now i may love it again.

edit: really enjoying the new roleplay mode; i’ve never made it this far before and i would’ve had to restart like 10 times if it weren’t for the checkpoints.

just found out today that qud has controller support? seems like u can play basically the whole thing with a controller, which rules! i’m still learning all the inputs but it’s no more daunting than the keyboard ones so i’m down to study.
