yes G Gundam is incredibly racist

it’s also incredibly stupid so I think it balances out

yes, Neo Mexico’s suit is called Tequila Gundam and it wears a sombrero and poncho and Neo Holland has Gundams that are also windmills and Neo America has a boxing football player and Neo… Kenya? has a Gundam Zulu warrior and Neo America has (successfully) weaponized the Statue of Liberty into a laser cannon called the Statue of Liberty Cannon, operated by a general smoking a corncob pipe, but really, it’s all so ridiculous that I can’t feel too upset by it

Neo Denmark has Gundam Sea Bass:

(OK, look, I know it is Mermaid Gundam officially, but c’mon)

So.

I don’t mean to insinuate that they exist on the same level, just more that the show exists on a pretty ridiculous wavelength

which sadly means some pretty harmful stereotypes just slip right in and seem right at home, mostly because they’re amplifying some ridiculous shit to begin with

at any rate, I apologize if anyone was offended regardless

Sharing Inuyasha with partner. Haven’t revisited it since it was on the air but pleased to say it’s full of cool demons and charm. Looks better than a lot of its contemporaries too

no but now I’m excited

just got the sword

Finished this now and it did indeed pick up thankfully. Maybe even too much happening, poor old Deus Ex Mokona didn’t get much of a chance to do anything except harass a poor fairy.
Of course they just had to include a weirdly drawn-out bath-house breast conversation scene. I guess there really isn’t any escape from that sort of thing even in a show mainly aimed at young girls.
Might see if I can track down an ISO of the Saturn game and watch the OVAs.

Was hoping to start watching the Galaxy Express 999 TV series, but Amazon sent me volume 3 twice instead of 2 & 3 so now I have to go through the laborious process of sending it back to them and getting a refund before I can attempt to re-purchase it. I guess that serves me right for not just pirating it.

In the meantime I have Demon City Shinjuku and Like the Clouds, Like the Wind to get through, can’t wait to see what questionable plot developments lie within

I love this movie, it’s absolutely wonderful

Galaxy Express 999 is also one of my favorite things

the most annoying thing about gunpla people is how they think it’s really funny to ask for a tequila gundam kit over and over

inyuasha starts strong but by the end I hated rumio takahashi so much

I need to cancel out this negativity with something nice.

yurei deco does look really cute

would you ward me off it? I barely remember anything of it from 2004 so, like, I would not at all mind bailing on a 100+ episode shonen series on your recommendation
