you might be interested in reading the lurkers guide to babylon 5 because each episode has relevant quotes from JMS’ usenet postings about them and there’s an absurd amount of behind the scenes info on here. i also recall each episode page being fine to read after you watch it
Sheridan is a fucking jerk who’s answer is always LETS BLOW EM UP LETS SHOOT EM HAVE WE CONSIDERED TOTAL ANNIHILATION? he made me miss sinclairs ummm HMMM I seeing so much, but luckily everything else gets better. I just like sinclairs sad face so much
I wonder if I’d like mass effect if it was about sinclair instead of sheridan
That gets paid off, but man they gotta work at it.
I feel like Sheridan’s the way better actor, but I liked Sinclair’s character a lot more. Like a lot of B5 casting, they actors are charming in how dweeby they often are, and that goes a long way with Sheridan.
Dude loves oranges and saying things should “go straight to hell”
BABYLON 5 IS NOW FREE ON TUBI
Oh hey can I show off the animation I did for @scratchmonkey’s wife, it finally got me to watch some Babylon 5, finally learned where all sorts of old timey on-line posters took their “screen names” from, they were mostly very annoying people but the show didn’t bug me none, I liked the lizard-y guy in this pic, I don’t remember his name though, guess I never ran into anyone named after him who also had really bad opinions
Good… now they need to put cleopatra 2525 back on tubi so it can be the people’s platform once more
only if it’s paired with jack of all trades
the back2back action hour must be a cohesive unit
@scratchmonkey I was working out the other day, and put on the ep of Grey Sector with the interview of Julie Caitin Brown (Na’Toth). It was a really great interview, had a ton of behind-the-scenes bits and pieces I loved.
SeaQuest is volcel but writes elaborate screeds about how consensual sex with dolphins is theoretically possible

Ah man, that’s awesome. My wife said she was a great interview, really friendly, felt like they were just hanging out with her.
Season 1 does a great job introducing ideas that are going to get fleshed out by season 3.
A weird thing about this five season show, is that the fifth and planned final season, is still setting up things for the future
The psychics are revolting against the psicorp
The centauri are being controlled by the Drakh
One of the Drakh mind-control creatures is given to Sheridan to be given to Sheridan’s son.
I guess it’s either sort of an iceberg approach to writing, or they were hoping for more movies.
The show is good, especially Seasons 1 - 4, but episode to episode it isn’t as strong as it is season to season.
Whhich is your fav season? If I were to rank the seasons, it would be 3 > 4 > 2 > 1 > 5
I think s3 is where they really reached their peak and it became clear that the show was lord of the rings on a space station. 4 is great for how every episode feels momentous but I really felt the limitations of what they could convincingly portray on low budget tv.
I agree that seasons 3 & 4 are the best.
Season 2 is my least favorite. It has some weak episodes and a lot of wheel spinning.
3 > 4 > 1 > 5 > 2
im still in season 4 on my rewatch right after the minbari stuff because i keep thinking about how little i want to watch the totally unnecessary season 5. And even then it was such a boring episode!! Good luck listening to those clowns give a speech without falling asleep…good grief
3 > 2 > 4 > 1 > 5, where the gaps between 1-4 are all pretty close, and then 5 is a big one.
Put on the latest ep of Grey Sector, 101 Space Dad Jokes, while I was getting ready for a two-week work trip to hell (Arkansas) and got a much-needed laugh from this bit at 47:00:
Sarah:
"I don’t know what Sheridan believes. Like, Sinclair was an idealist who wanted peace.
Sheridan took the job because the president asked him to, and there were oranges available?
And that doesn’t give me a lot of insight.
So, we’ve established - here’s what I know about John Sheridan:
• He trusts people, not organizations.
• He collects conspiracies
• He doesn’t want to pay taxes
• He doesn’t care about human righ-oh fuck!He’s a libertarian."
what is the funniest possible thing this could be teasing?
i think the most likely outcome is like some kind of HD rerelease (unless that exists already?)
the dumbest joke option would be NFTs, but it’s also kind of uh late for that to be a likely possibility
so i’m going to say it’s announcing the opening of a small babylon 5-themed restaurant chain operating exclusively in the midwest
My money’s on a Zima brand deal
