I think spending money for pulls in this game is a scam no matter how you do it. the monthly login pass is the most efficient method by far, and thatâs $5 for 2700 diamonds over 30 days. 2700 diamonds is 22 pulls and some change. hard pity on an 11 piece 5 star is 220 pulls, so 10 months. reasonable luck will get you the outfit + the first evo at 180 pulls, so roughly 8 months. that puts the cost of a 5 star outfit at $40. that requires you to login every day, get some level of luck, and most importantly itâs over such a long period of time that you have no control over what youâre actually fucking getting, youâre either getting pieces piecemeal, with the intention of forcing you to buy more pulls to complete an outfit, or youâre waiting 8 months minimum to snipe a full outfit that you know nothing about. does that sound like a good deal? it sounds like a shit deal to me, and thatâs by far the cheapest method.

yes i think you are right that itâs a bad deal. you do get 300 stellarites with that purchase (for the normal stellarite price), so if you want you can think of it as more like doubling your daily mission diamonds if you are buying stellarites.
idk about the piecemeal / waiting 8 months part. i guess iâm thinking of it more like iâm keeping a resevoir of diamonds, and trying to make sure that i keep that at the same level by not spending more than i aquire.
and also 20 pulls is 4 parts of the 4* mid season outfits. i guess that values the whole outfit at (at least) 10 currency units, but it does have more of a noticeable effect than 1 part of a 5*.
anyway i do agree its way too expensive to pay for pulls. ive been lucky in that most of the 5* outfits havent interested me much, idk what i would do if suddenly they were all amazing.
you dont have to wait nearly that long because the game throws all the extra diamonds and pulls at you, like if you logged in every day this week (or just log in 7 times before the event ends) you got 10 pink pulls. all the quests throwing diamonds at you in 1.6, all the diamonds you get from minigames, chests, dailies, sidequests every event, pieceys, the dress you can craft throws diamonds at you, etc etc. like what nedge said is the best way to get extra diamonds but there are FTP players who pay zero who finish banners all the time because they just pick and choose what they want. the bottom line is the game wants to do everything it can to make it feel like you have no choice but to spend money so it will always be making you feel bad or left out for not spending it. gacha sucks! i wish nikki wasnt a gacha game so bad. as things are though i get so much shit from the battlepass when i want it, i dont finish every banner. i feel like its a little late in the game to be justifying and weighing the costs of gacha though. like we should all understand that its predatory and to only spend money on shit you want not shit you feel like youre supposed to get
and yeah i kind alike that the 4 star banners are the ones that actually catch my eye because they give more clothes with pulls, whereas five star banners just give the stupid photo props that i only like playing with for five seconds and guess where you can do that for free? the sea of stars
if you catch the advertising for patches before they come out they usually say how many diamonds youre guaranteed from playing the patch

outfits i canât seem to get right:
mushroom dress
the slime leggings would be perfect if they didnt stop just past the knee, itâs annoying. i went thru a lot of different leggings, shoes, hats and hair. a styling i saw had a much more mushroom like hat, but idk where that hat is from, and also perhaps they just made it look good by taking the photo at a good angle.

i think i need antenna? went thru a lot of different leggings. wings were pink for a bit.

oh the tomino fairy is so good! i think the slime leggings look great but i totally understand personal preference and being annoyed by a piece of clothing so much you cant wear it. in two days ill have the mushroom dress and im super stoked to style around it

yeah but thatâs how they get you to spend, you gotta look at it straight from the money perspective. youâre getting those pulls whether you pay or not, if you stay engaged with the game you will get to pick and choose outfits with a more or less acceptable level of regularity. itâs not bad as a f2p game, itâs just that paying on top of that offers very little value. buying stellarites for the shop outfits is worth it if you like those, particularly for the first time you spend at any given level. spending five bucks for the first time will get you every 60 stellarite outfit for like 10 months if you want. I did that shit (I also bought random shit like the bike (biiiig worth) and the umbrella).

Thatâs the trick of F2P monetization, to bring your mental stack as you crunch the numbers right to the point of tipping over. That way you still feel like youâre doing your part to not get scammed, but also just exhausted enough to think âfuck it, Iâll just put five dollars in the machine.â so that they get your five dollars.

youâve somehow arrived on the opposite end of the scam where youâre thinking so hard about the value of your daily chores wages that youâre selling yourself on the idea of spending because you would make more in diamonds taking a lunch break at work than you would doing half of a patchâs content
just pull shit you find pretty and let god sort it out, you have too much life to live to regret not getting a pretty dress 8 months from now
