i got brown noted by the destiny loading screen when i had e coli

well, i’ve never liked competitive multiplayer much to begin with, i used to get frustrated with myself really quickly because games are one of the few places i feel potency in my life, so getting stomped and tea-bagged by people better than me with more time to play was a drag. it’s just not for me. i tend to think about those things less when playing with friends and i just end up having a good time.

also with crucible being 4v4 now i feel a lot more pressure to perform when playing solo, and when you’re with a team of strangers and one of those strangers is AFK or running off on their own to get team-shot it’s pretty frustrating.

sure wish my computer wasn’t a piece of garbage

I’ve warmed up to the casual side of Crucible over the past few weeks. I still wish it was 6v6, but I finally got the Antiope-D to drop yesterday and it owns

i played one game of PVP, i don’t know what it was called but it was just team deathmatch. we were losing but in the last 30 seconds i used my super or whatever and killed 4 people, and we won. that felt good

I feel like 4v4 is the sweet spot for me. If it was 3v3 I’d be too stressed as well

Ah, the only other thing that kind of turns me off on destiny crucible is that you can’t actually pick what game mode you play (and I can’t really stand supremacy). This was something you could do in Destiny 1. I find this really hilarious coming from a company that once shipped a create-your-own-mode game mode.

Yeah, that sucks! (I do like supremacy a lot though)

I don’t know why games went down this quickplay path. Anybody have any ideas?

Rye, if you ever want to play PS4 PvP, shoot me a message I don’t enjoy it much solo, but I like shooting the shit with people even if I suck.

Rumor has it with D2 that it is due to the fork from D1 occuring before they added in a lot of the custom match stuff, but the lack of mode selection was even in early d1, so who knows?

Helps stabilize populations; we keep finding, again and again, that ‘I can get into a match instantly’ is way more important than ‘I can set up a match I want to play’.

yeah, from a design perspective it makes total sense to me. I guess I just lament the lack of choices. It makes the game feel a bit bare.

oh, me too. Player-hosted servers or custom games for parties should be fixes but they get dropped as expensive and not worth the time.

Totally makes sense! I didn’t even think of that

The funny thing is that finding a match in Destiny 2 takes way too long anyway. At least for my liking. Well that’s not 100% accurate. It’s 50/50. The game has two gears. In one it takes slightly too long and in the other it’s super quick. I haven’t had anything in between or beyond that

this was the same on PS4 for the first couple of weeks, most of the player base is still grinding pve I reckon, and the raid just launched

There’s no three word combination I like more than “FWC Fusion Rifle”

“legend of acrius”

at least they made the dead orbit weapon a grenade launcher so they won’t win again

I would agree if they weren’t power weapons now

new PC players will want their monochrome shaders, but I’d like to think so

ok I looked it up in the database and it’s not really that exciting, I’ll slap an FWC shader on Main Ingredient and Erentil instead

Can’t wait for Telesto (the besto)!

it think the dead orbit grenade launcher is just a social experiment

they’ll probably still win, but i’m going fwc this time fo sho

oh yeah wait i already have like three nice FRs hmm

hey there’s no way to chop n change once i choose a subclass specialisation is there?
