Naw, Flawless and the challenges. We got the sparrow race one already.

Trust.

As we get closer and closer to serving up Shadowkeep and New Light, it has become increasingly clear to us that our releases for this Fall would benefit from a bit more time in the oven.

Being independent means that the future of Destiny 2 is entirely on our team. It also means that we’re agile enough to choose to do what’s best for the game and our players, even if it’s the hard choice.

We wanted to let you—our Community—know first that we’re changing the date for Shadowkeep and New Light from September 17 to October 1.

This Fall is the first step on a journey for what our team wants Destiny 2 to become - a place for you and your friends to play anytime, anywhere; owning the action MMO and RPG elements that we love about the game; and crushing barriers to entry for friends. We just need a bit of extra time to take the first step.

We didn’t make this decision lightly. We know for some of you (us too), Destiny releases are events where you take time off of work or develop a sudden sickness that keeps you from school or work (we get it, a bunch of our team takes some time off to go on their own Destiny Jacket Quest). We’re sorry for screwing up your plans and we wanted to share this information as quickly as we could.

For those that don’t want to watch a video:

Steam move is happening August 20th
Cross Save is happening August 21st

My partner, brother, and I won a gambit match with an AFK the other day and felt pretty good.

They have got to a) hit a ban wave for the afk botting and b) stop designing quests to encourage people to abandon the activity. The EAZ is my favorite piece of level design - it’s Titanfall 1 swiss cheese logical architecture and verticality - but an EAZ run can take forever because people bail before the boss.

I am curious to see how F2P populations change crucible and gambit.

Mixed feelings. Perks being mods is long overdue, but they are overcomplicating what should be a relatively simple system. I wish they’d stop with this godawful systems design, I dunno who is in charge of it at Bungie but I’m sorry you really need to reconsider. Not everything in a game needs a fucking drawback.

Here’s something I miss from Destiny 1: filling bars on my items and using materials to level items.

someone needs to tell luke smith no, immediately

(this wasnt announced or anything BUT HE SAID IT)

i like luke, none of this stuff really bothers me?

i think i’m full up on this kind of game with ff14 now though

my main issue with destiny is that this is all built around the same handful of stuff that i’ve already done to death.

the raids are great. i guess. i kind of don’t like last wish because i think what it asks from you is a little much. but i have no reason to gear up for these raids anyway cause i’ve got no one to do them with anymore, which was what made the other 80% of the game bearable

yeah they just are layering too many systems on top of eachother and going further and further away from what i liked about it so im not gonna get shadowkeep! bye destiny

i guess on a second look the thought of some of these changes is kinda exhausting, re-collecting armor, chasing stats, recollecting mods

they’re talking about having content that only lasts for a season and then gets removed from the game, and maybe that’s cool if you’re heavily invested with it but it kinda strikes me as a not so great idea — fomo sucks

(i still like luke smith and i like destiny, but i’m kinda over this stuff)

but it’s sounding like all the best stuff will be gated behind activities i can’t do anyway, so it’s making it easier just to turn down the thing wholesale

I decided to have some sunday Destiny 2 time and the new splash screen on ps4 is pretty cool.

Man what the hell is even going on in this game. I know I didn’t know what I was doing when I was playing by myself but coming back is baffling.

I want to come back for shadowgate or whatever it’s called. After ignoring this thread for 300 posts. And after forgetting everything I ever knew about D2, which wasn’t much to begin with. Steam, baby!

I’ve got forsaken, should I get the season pass now or is that unnecessary?

i would just wait till shadow keep cause they’re gonna make everything you have 750 power (which is the max right now).

i would say skip the season pass because most of the content is no longer relevant (or played) or about to be.
