I was at 1Up’s offices demoing Galak-Z and the sole creator, Eskil Steenberg, gave me a demo while we were waiting for mic time. Interesting guy, but very much an aesthetic programmer – he spent more time talking about the networking stack he deeply loved than the game itself

Temple of Osiris is actually pretty fun unlike TR 2013
I enjoyed TR 2013 but I will admit it has more valleys than peaks

Rain World is something like 80% off on steam which is the cheapest ive ever seen it. An absolute steal. Best 2d game of the last decade imo.
Mable and the Wood, a darkly twee lo-fi soulslike metroidvania, is free on the GOG frontpage today. (It actually looks pretty good, despite being agonizingly on-trend.)

Outside of the joke I have been forcing. Nah. The text speed is too slow and the story (while having twists and turns) is too slow along with it.
