Xbox gamepass is doing $1 for 3 months deals on gamepass ultimate. Ultimate covers PC and console in on subscription.
if you’ve been doing the PC one only, you can upgrade to ultimate for the $1 deal.
I…assume there’s a non-ultimate console sub, as well. So, you can probably upgrade to ultimate, likewise.
and then you can immediately cancel the auto renew, so you don’t get auto charged $44, 3 months from now.
i’ve been trying to figure out when this deal goes away so I can grab it on the last day or something, since I don’t have a pressing need to play any game pass games. I can’t find anything about it anywhere, so I’m kind of just assuming it’ll end right before the master chief collection comes out on PC, or they’ll use that to trojan it and extend it for a while
MCC PC comes out 12/3 FYI.
I maxed it out before the $1 conversion with the rationale that I would play Halo, Outer Worlds, Outer Wilds, and some other Microsoft published game and it ran about that much.
the xbox beta app and the microsoft store thing completely shat themselves for me recently and i had to remove/reinstall them via powershell, clear their cache and a bunch of other linux as fuck shit so that was the end of my gamepass sub
have they given any kind of eta re: the rest of mcc after reach drops

Another Steam sale, another opportunity to just ruthlessly pare down my wishlist because lord knows I ain’t ever gonna have time to play a lot of this stuff anyway.

I saw a little bit of the co-op and it looked like it did some really cool stuff.
You can coop with only one copy so

I highly recommend Phantasy Star. I’m sure Space Harrier is also mighty fine.

only a couple of these are on sale on the uk eshop, fuckin nintendo
do you need to use e.g us cards on the us eshop or can i just put in my uk debit card? for psn in the good days when the exchange rate made it worthwhile i would use an amazon us account with a us address and buy psn cards there as they didn’t bother checking the card address for digital stuff
I know for awhile I was able to use my American debit card buy stuff on non-Japan eshops but I’m not certain that’s still the case.
You can definitely just buy an american eshop Carr and do it that way. There will probably be a few deals on them in the coming days too.
I just buy with paypal.
AFAIK Amazon still stops their checks at the account address level, I’ve bought digital stuff off of amazon.jp with no issue. the eshops themselves though, they want payment methods to match region
so either buy eshop cash or make a PayPal account with a US address and give it money (note: I’m not sure but doing that might literally be a crime and I would strongly recommend not committing some kind of wiring fraud)
