games you played today: winning eleven

i’m so glad i’m not alone with this, i’ve never seen anything but gushing praise for the voice acting before. i’d probably like the original version more because of all the nonactors, but really when a game is this heavy on text you shouldn’t have to suffer some guy reading to you slowly.

I almost don’t want to finish this level because I know there won’t be as many Italians in the late game, they’re an early game enemy

do they have games on urbit, like they could have a farmville but you force users beneath you in the cosmic hierarchy to work on your farm

putting a point into a skill lets you retry a failed white check. imo it’s fun to use them reactively and see where your character ends up

VF5 Revo beta. Rusty but I love it. Haven’t played seriously since Final Showdown on PS3, but I feel like I can get into this.

My approach was to never spend any of my skill points that I got for levelling up, and then when I blew a check, I’d spend a point on whatever skill it was so that I could try again. It got me through pretty well

Playing more Helldivers 2. They added aliens from the first game, cities, zombies, cars, and melee weapons. It’s basically poor man’s Halo inside an already pretty fun game, so not bad at all.

playing a bunch of game boy color games recently, i feel the pain rudie felt back when he complained about how many of them make you input a name before you can play.

why does frogger 2 start with a name entry screen?!

is it just like entering your initials for the high score so you don’t have to do it after

it could be, i guess

that’s what it does in tetris dx, along with keeping track of your all-time total lines, plus a mysterious “power” number that isn’t explained anywhere
