so yeah i’m actually at this part, and have been for weeks, technically. i tried the Zio fight before saving, which was stupid, died, realized there must be “one weird trick” to beating him and then didn’t turn the game on again because i didn’t feel like looking up the strat.
but yeah, it’s bugging me and i need to go back.
this is also why i haven’t finished Metaphor, yet lol. ice dragon fight. same thing.
hate “one weird trick” bosses
edit: except for FFVI, where all the enemies have the same “one weird trick”
the ice dragon fight in metaphor was fun! I accidentally made the I think General(?) mask for the masker dancer character fairly early on and it made her extremely extremely good for like the third quarter of the game, didn’t actually have to refactor my party too much to win that one (I think I actually beat it without taking damage)
been months now so i don’t recall the exact issue i was having. i tried it and it was one of those things where i lost after spending like 20 mins fighting or something - just didn’t go into the battle with the correct stuff
People getting upset because you don’t like a game they liked when they were 12 is exactly why I hate talking about video games these days and why I rarely post about them anymore. No amount of stupid analogies or smarmy posts are going to change my experience.
i really wanted to play xenogears back when it failed to get released in europe. since then, i’ve looked at gifs and scroonshots and said “wow that looks really cool” and still haven’t played it.
edf world brothers is one of the cutest games i have ever played, and it feels so fun and joyful too. akane is an okay little game that i’d probably get super addicted to if it were on a handheld.
isn’t it a little late in the game to be learning you exist on a forum with different people. I don’t know how it works for you but when I post I’m not trying to win a the entire forum must agree with me or remain silent or else contest.
Seriously I heard a fool on a podcast say the game was “important to who they were.” And I spent the rest of the day trying to figure out what the hell that means.
But Villian yeah you should quit playing you don’f seem to be enjoying the “good” parts of the game and are already noticing the bad. Let me tell you if you hate the dungeons now it ain’t gonna get better.
I think by Lashiec Rika (I think she’s called Fal or Faru or something in the JPN version) usually has the SAR line of spells. Maybe Kyra does too, but I forget.
Also not sure if the JPN version is different in this way, but I don’t remember having more than maybe 2 star dews by the Zio fight
Indeed, she does, but I kind of have to use the 24 MP big heal to cancel out Lashiec’s nukes, and on my first serious attempt, I had unwisely used up half her MP on field attrition heals.
Yeah I think I wasted “only” 2 star dews but I feel that could be enough to make a big difference. Chests are full of Sol Dews lately which on paper is a better item, but I’m desperate for “multi” type heals. (I think the JP version plays almost the same as the US version.)
The honor student esper girl definitely doesn’t have a multiheal. I’m still mad they took away my beloved green pope and his bad puns
Ah, maybe esper girl has a skill that does something similar but I forget what it’s called. Unless it’s just a single heal spell.
Air Castle was always the bane of my existence, especially the fight with the three guys. I used to spend a few hours grinding there until Rika was maybe Level 35 or so. I think the trick I worked out more recently was just give Kyra a Reflect Shield instead of 2 boomerangs.
I played the first episode of To a T. It’s cute! Maybe a little too saccharine but it’s pretty funny and it’s got that Keita Takahashi charm all over it. I already like it better than Wattam. On the Xbox it’s kinda buggy, but maybe that’ll get patched. I’ve been given the option to skip my morning ablutions, and those rituals are kind of painful to actually play, but I can’t bear to let this kid go to school with cereal in his teeth so I’m just gonna keep doing it.
