I think u still can’t set Quake on Xbox to the correct aspect ratio, I agree that u shouldn’t be playing it on a controller in a general but its bizarre 2 me they let u activate like the fake low-res thing but not that…cmon…

i actually really wanna play quake on xbox cos apparently it has gyro assist support which sounds great. i’ve played quake on my pc with a controller and it’s totally manageable but i wish gyro was more commonly accepted as a mouse alternative.

got to the bit in recore where, after what felt like a very premature final boss fight, the game says “oh you didn’t spend enough time dicking around collecting sparklies? well, guess you gotta go back and pick up the rest.” so i think i’ve played about as much as i can be bothered with, lol.
game is kinda cool cos it’s using design norms that were ten years out of date when it was developed, but like, i’ve played enough ps2/gc games to not feel the urge to stick this one out for any longer. glad i played it! it’s a really interesting object.
