I thought the Kinect one was going to be Peter Molyneux’s pre-recorded demo for Milo, but it turns out that’s so old it’s from when the Kinect was still called Project Natal

Such a shame that saner heads won out before they could keep this grift going long enough to make another fake trailer that revealed that Milo was dying of leukemia.

By all accounts this game kind of sucked BUT this trailer goes hard, no lie.

Ime the only things video game trailers have ever accomplished is revealing the art style and graphics and I guess maybe general atmosphere of a game, there has never been a single game trailer to successfully convey anything compelling about a game’s story or characters, and no game play trailer conveys what it is actually like to play any game better than just like five unedited minutes of someone actually playing the game would. I challenge anyone itt to prove me wrong

I think a lot about that brief window when game companies didn’t want to put direct feeds of video on the internet, so we had to rely on game journalists describing in text (and sometimes from memory) every action from a trailer like this. I guess at that point they figured that they weren’t a media company, and journalists were, so it was up to IGN to figure out how to show this to anyone.
