if you like Rezzett or Actress or something like that (i.e. dreamy lo-fi house-influenced music) you’d probably like this

this also came out recently and i like it a lot

speaking of Rezzett, new Rezzett record just came out last month

wanted to buy an LP but like with their first LP (which is now out of print) i literally cannot find anywhere that doesn’t ship from the UK. which just makes me feel like i am not the intended audience for this music.

I think there are people who will like this album, found through my recent discovery of “Thelonious Monkees”:

Best full album AND headphones experience EVER. The flow never stops, each track is connected in a sonicly narrative and unique way. I’m not sure how many people is into Cornelius, especially Fantasma (I’m really into it lol), but if ur not, u should BE GETTIN THERE.

I’ve had complicated feelings about Cornelius since the controversy around his extremely abusive childhood bullying came out… But I can not deny that he’s a great musician and this album is his best. I also like Point and 69/96.

Yes, I understand that mixed feeling very well and respect it.

In my adolescence I listened to a whole scene here in Buenos Aires where more than one frontman were real pedos and rapists. And this was, like, really popular music at the time. None of those frontmans ever admited it, they lied and blamed the victims. I could never listen to that music again. But… Keigo admiting it and saying he’s trully sorry and he being too young, u know, everybody makes mistakes… it’s enough for me. But I totally understand if it’s not for you.

P.S.: I discovered Preserving Worlds today and absolutley loved the concept and the intro. Hope I can make some time to devour it soon

Thank you! And yeah, lord knows I listen to enough problematic artists. Part of living in the internet age I guess, everyone has to figure out their own boundaries around that.

i stopped listening to cor for like awhile after i found out ab the controversy but i love fantasma and point and literally listen to some p fucked up pple so i just added him to that pile. i know not everyone can do this but the older i get the more i’m just like ’ welp. . . ’ at least he did own up and apologize. the defense brigade from chuds on last.fm is weird but that’s par for the course for channers and rateyourmusic pple so yeah

ohhh i was just playing The Inheritors for my partner the other day… i’ve not really listened to his shit beyond absolutely rinsing Renata but i’m noting this

if you’ve never heard the hardcore outfit from california known as gulch, then you’re missin out. sorry if this album has already been posted btw. this is. . .their last release sadly. they broke up ’ while they were still good '. their singer brings out so many lava pit frustrations in me. his voice is raw and full of power and he looks like he would [ redacted ] you into high heaven. anyway uh, the lp is still available for purchase somehow: Impenetrable Cerebral Fortress | Gulch. it’s limited to 1000 copies, the rest of the variants are sold out.

this will prob sell for some crazy price because of scalpers. it’s fucking so hard to find a shirt that isn’t $70+ i hate it so much ( the band does too ). really wish i lived out in cali again so i could go to the area ( somewhere north of the bay–san jose? ) and pester the shit of them until they played an impromptu show in someone’s back yard.

i live for these kinds of tunes when it comes to this genre of music. the purging of the soul is all apart of great fucking alchemy. they will be remembered for sure. own a piece of history today before you are forced to scrounge ebay desperately in despair.
