(some little audio gaps/hiccups in this rip here and there but it’s so good anyway)
This fuckin rules. Love to find some English power electronics that sounds just as intense and meaningful as stuff from the 80s. That second song is so good.

my aoty (so far), rafael toral does six slow motion jazz standards

A few years ago when @ellaguro and I and some other friends went to Electronicon, I wanted to get some good Vaporwave cassettes, so she recommended one from FM Skyline and one from Equip. Both turned out to be incredible, and they’re still in heavy rotation in my kitchen cassette deck. After a big meal the other day, I was inspired to look up more work by these artists. Turns out they collaborated on a little 32 minute album that just lights up all my pleasure centers like little else:
Lots of video game music, midi, house, and DnB styles mixed together. There’s a clear Donkey Kong Country influence, and almost every track sounds like a different type of water level BGM. It’s infectious! Especially track 3. I bought this cassette and added it to my kitchen with the others. Not since STAFFcirc has anyone put midi to such good use!
