I’m sad that I really obviously have to turn shypox off if I want to keep hard mode on
honestly this is way, way better than dragon quest has been since IV and V, and I never finished either of those because I didn’t have access to an adequate localization when they were still technologically compelling and I was willing to put up with the random battles.
giving you a nice big party for a change goes such a long way! this rehabilitates a fair few jRPG tropes which I’d effectively never seen done in a way I gave a damn about before
