Where Flylighter at, btw?
That was actually the first footage of DeS i ever watched!
i remember thinking, “that don’t look that hard”
He posts very rarely. He’s still chillin irl.
the nephilim
Gone are the days spent terrorizing 3-2 with an expired Storm Ruler.
Given the plot of the game…
It’s kind of perverse, isn’t it? Not letting it die. Continuing the cycle forever…
Woah, do you suppose that’s being done in an emulator? I would love to emulate this game with a working homebrew server.
I found a PS3 next to my building’s dumpster yesterday, so it’s time to answer my own question from 2 years ago: The fan server is PS3 only, and you need a non-jailbroken PS3. It’s surprisingly easy to get on it, you just have to input a specific custom DNS in your PS3 system menu and then you’ll automatically connect when you boot up the game.
So now I’m playing Demon’s Souls for the first time, and the fan server seems to be working pretty well. I haven’t been invaded yet, but I’m seeing tons of player messages and ghosts. It’s impressive stuff! I’m very grateful to be able to experience the game as intended this way, even if the current player base is probably rather small.
nice find
i hear that game’s pretty good too
When I played Demon’s Souls, I could never seem to find anyone to summon. Especially where I really could have used some help (Flamelurker). The one exception was when I summoned a random player in 4-2. This made it much too quick and easy, so I guess it’s a good thing that I didn’t have more luck finding other players in general.
One time, after I’d completed the game, I joined Birch and lofighost for a co-op session and that was a lot of fun. We learned that you could be helpful as an invader and attack enemies, something that I don’t think is possible in the later games.
this game makes me want to eat taco bell
So the world might be mended.
If I’d known the kinds of lengths I’d have to go to upgrade it, I would not have committed to maining a blessed weapon. Good god. I might as well buy a flat in the poison swamp at this point.
One of the worst ways I have ever spent time with video games is probably the 20 hours I farmed Pure Bladestone.
And then I did it again.
I never want to kill NPCs in Souls games, but this is the first time I’ve really regretted that! Yurt just killed all my fucking NPCs and now I can’t attune any new miracles, lmao. I got owned.
I’ll give the game credit, that was A Moment. And I guess it’s cool that they were willing to permanently fuck over the player for the sake of it.
YES
I’m pretty sure he only kills one per your visit to the Nexus, so if you pay attention and visit everybody…
On the other hand I think he starts with some of the more peripheral people. So by the time you notice…
