I am installing this because of this thread. I have FFXI on Steam. I don’t know if it’s any special edition. I kinda really want to play this stilll…
So I finally picked this up yesterday mainly from hearing the Playonline music linked elsewhere (still delivers btw). I’m already super intrigued but also slightly godsmacked that after 14 years of expansions there doesn’t appear to much in the way of UI QOL improvements for PC users.
Does anyone know if there’s any way to make the camera feel smooth and not like it’s being held by super mario on ice? Should I just be playing it with a controller?
Without ever playing 11, I’m going to bet this is the answer, yeah.

if you can get a controller working that would be ideal, just don’t try to use the mouse, weird as it sounds. i only ever played (hundreds of hours) with just the keyboard
