Has any official arrangement or remix of the FFVII regular battle theme ever actually used a solo woodwind instrument for the part at 0:54?
Glad at least that the remake version at least keeps the industrial sounding clangs or whatever that start around 0:11 even though I can’t at all hear it as a heavy breathing sound like I did when I first heard the original.
I can’t get over the pronunciation as “mah ko” instead of “may ko”
Also, as a person who tells other people I play video games… the dialogue is embarassing.

the pacing of this tutorial mission clashes really badly with the original score / combat speed
like the game is peripherally good in the ways I expected it to be peripherally good but I don’t actually think the direction of this sequence acquits it well
