That evo line up is terrible. Man, I’m probably buying the $100+ stupid ass edition of Injustice 2 and it doesn’t belong there till NRS clears up their Destiny-Lite system regarding tourney play. Give NRS a year break for Injustice 2 to mature (Cause we’re tired of SonicFox winning everything and we need to give Perfect Legend hilariously blowing himself up a break before it gets tired). Keep Marvel as tradition dictates, go to community choice for the others. I know “Hurf durf KI Would win if MvC3 wasn’t in community choice and we’re guaranteed ten more years of Skullgirls fans bitching” but goddamn this is the worst of all worlds.

I wish the port of Windjammers wasn’t a Dotemu mess, because it would be a cold game to watch otherwise. Not that is going to be picked up anyway.
The choice is not the best but at least I have more to watch (BB, Xrd2nd and KOF) than last year. Is there any line up of side tournaments up yet?
Windjammers is currently the hype versus game of choice in my office, which feels right.

There’s a new fighting game called Million Arthur Arcana Blood coming to arcades based on Square’s Million Arthur mobile game series. It looks like a combo heavy air-dasher where you equip a deck of three cards that can be called as assists. I’m not sure who the developer is if it’s not being made in-house. The effect work kind of reminds me of Examu’s stuff in Nitro+ Blasterz and Aquapazza and Examu mostly subsists on licensed properties but the backgrounds have animation. I guess French Bread’s been quiet since DBFCI too. Any ideas?

The movement looks rather Examu-ish but the clips are definitely too low-res to get any sense of it that way.
Yeah, just last night (USA time). There was a big Million Arthur event in Japan and this was announced during it.

Edit: Honestly the first thing the hit sparks made me think of was Vanguard Princess.
I’m down with the game concept, as should be clear for my fondness for “pick a couple of assists that change your gameplan” titles like DBFC. If it’s S-E maybe they’ll actually want to release it on a home console within a year or so?
Or they could revolutionize the fighting game world by bringing gacha to fighting games with the assist cards.

Yeah, it’s Nitroplus Blasterz 2. I’d recognize that recovery sound effect anywhere. Also, the caped guy’s animations are as stiff as Arawn from Aquapazza.

It’s either super early or Square is keeping this super low budget. It just looks very doujin esque. I guess that would be examu’s style but this more so.
Those are some remarkably unappealing character designs.

I’m pretty sure they made the announcement after getting drunk at a bar one day, at the heights of valve’s efforts to secure actual big budget games from major publishers for SteamOS. if they wait a little longer people will forget.
