the videos make it look kind of dismal.
I dunno, it looks great to me! I’ll probably take that $9 chance. If it’s awful there’s always the refund option.
well heck for 9 bux support the indies!
Id prolly dig this if it has an endless stage mode.
Looks crazy easy to create new cars and tracks using the free Blender. There are even guides explaining how.
From steam discussions:
“if you don’t like the graphics you can modify the all 3D models, textures and even the shaders.”
Looks like vehicles are just defined in text files…
This could be a really nice way to get into messing with 3D models, textures and shaders outside of the ability to create fun challenges for yourself. Im really interested in what can be done about the sound. If its scriptable Im going to be hooked into this thing forever. :^O
If the level generation can be adjusted and wheel integration is good this could infact really rule.
First review is really negative on the controls… But I’m still gonna give it a shot tonight!
So I bought Virage Rally. I can’t recommend it in its current form, but I haven’t tried it with my wheel yet. The steering is pretty twitchy with an analog stick, but I feel like it’s designed for very subtle inputs you can only provide with a wheel. I think it has huge potential. It really feels more like an early access game.
I really can’t be mad at the ~45MB install size
nice parking manouver at three minute mark
Racing Apex is now Hotshot Racing, and it’s coming to PC and consoles in the spring:
Looks like weapons are gone, and the aesthetic has shifted slightly away from Sega arcade toward flat design.
god you really can just physically feel a sumo digital drift even just looking at footage
all the interior they show:
guess the (giant) rear view mirror wasn’t ready. also maybe the view tracks the direction of travel (which would be cool)
First look, has some fun Draft / Drift / Boost mechanics. Looks like a riot.
The dude playing is pretty chill, not a game streamer. His whole shtick is drifting and car culture stuff in Japan so its a nice, less insidery take.
Blue Blue Skies I SEEEE~~!
holyshit
Lancia Hyena. In the early 90s, rich Dutch person Paul Koot convinced Zagato to build 25 re-bodied and tuned Delta Integrales.
What is that thing with the gooseneck in the middle of the cabin in the last picture?
Please be the cigarette lighter.
