Got really excited for this until I realised it’s rallycross. Still probably cool though?
This is the most sorely tempted I’ve been by a BaT auction in a while
serious Sileighties (yes, SIC, this is no S13) vibes I’m getting!
have i said wacky car ads?
How about one that was made to cater to my generation:
This is extremely my shtick, and i applaud the exec that signed that off.
If someone released a new car with the exact same body and styling as a DeLorean but with internals that didn’t suck they’d make a killing
they’re still planning to restart production a few miles outside of town, here, I think
“They” who
And: WHEN?
it is a good question
nvm, they can go back in time and deliver them prematurely, anyway.
Only thing is,
how does that work with warranty if it starts before the car is built? In the worst case, it ends before the car is even assembled… i kinda start to understand that insurance companies will be very interested in preventing Emmet L. Brown selling his kit(car), huh.
This is highly weird to me
Can an entire automobile manufacturing company survive on nostalgia alone?
What’s in the damn cars, DeLorean
I think the key is that meeting this standard has shifted considerably in the past few years, they’re like design firms now, not industry-bestriding colossi
I mean I get it, Tesla, but still, an automobile is a large and very complicated thing to physically fabricate, and requires a huge amount of capital investment even to do it bespoke, much less at scale
happy to report that
Horizon 5 takes it serious to re-spawn the player in
interesting places.
Also, tiresmoke on the oldass XBOX 3 (WON (as in ₩, the currency)) looks better than in FH4, weyhey!
If you can speed past The Cringe, there’s some nice scenery to discover. There’s a race that snakes through a valley and inbetween pillars of a railroad bridge that evokes Arcade Racing memories, and yes, for a moment (in a way too fast car), even a glimpse of Sanic Kart 2/F-Zero GX madness. Only for a short moment though, going through there a second time didn’t evoke GX-feelings anymore
but at least the Arcade feeling was there.
Need to go back with a downforce monster later.
FH5 got so much better when I turned voice volume to 0, holy shit SHUT UP
And it was really weird when the game just started verbally referring to me by my real name! Absolutely not, no!
I wish there was an option to disable the host on the radio stations too, really just way too much voice all around
There is!
they’re a specialty repair shop that also resells old deloreans and have a mailing list for a car that’s never going to come out. they’re never going to actually manufacture it
Been back at poland for about a month, and I’ve been driving that lemon yellow Twingo 3rd Gen.
That car can turn… Damn it feels like it can turn within it’s own length. A masterpiece at that.
And the engine is actually a 1litre marvel.
Revs well, good torque, gear box is a bit dodgy. Feels like it needs to connect the first 2 gears better somehow, fine but a bit annoying on daily driving.
Is it fun though?
I really though it would be. For a year I drove a 108 and it was as fun to drive as those old small italian cars (the 127 and the seicento). You only felt the traction control when you were at highway speeds.
The Twingo though… Traction control is omnipotent. You feel it and exists everywhere. Feels like the most small car ever contained literally with chains.
No… You absolutely can not turn the traction control off. That chip is an almighty oppressor god of tou driving.
Foot way down on 1st and the car accelerates perfectly as if a 40years driver is doing it.
Even the yaris hysterical traction control was not as bad.
