Dungeon Decorator

tab still open? try this one “weird trick”
if browser supports “developer tool” called “console”
examine for line such as this

dungeon url formula is
http://vacuumflowers.com/gardener/player.html?game=
+
data:image/png;base64,etcetcetcetcetcetc

PS:
what is this mysterious upper-left-corner device for browser locking???

EDIT: Absolute Solution! Only works “original image”…

Thanks for trying to help. I tried looking up the page data but Firefox is a garbage heap and crashed soon after. Luckily, I screenshotted all of the rooms beforehand as insurance, so I can recreate the map eventually when all of this browser/saving nonsense gets sorted out. Frustrations aside, this was a lot of fun to do.

saved png should (?) bee (?) reversible (?)
or rather,
the save U.R.L. is ??possibly?? the PNG encoded via base64?

but DISCOURSE used Voodoo!
It changed the data in your [picture]…

Please! Try host PNG via IMGUR.

EX:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CacwTsCWEAAOb-K.png:large --> feed this to upper-left-corner prompt! It…works…

Here’s my PNG.

Nothing happens when I “open” it or that other one you linked above using the Choose File button.

No idea if this is a problem involving both Firefox and Safari or what.

I open, and map loads, but actual data is corrupt.
Contrary to my belief, Imgur alters data as well. So does abload.

1 more attempt. Please upload image to www.picpar.com

OK! http://www.picpar.com/rrHb

The imgur link and the picpar link have the same checksum(s).
If you uploaded the picpar link from the original image on your hard drive, then I have misunderstood something critical along the way.

For me, the image will load the map layout in the editor, everything seems visually fine, but the tile data is corrupt. Solid when it should be passable, etc. Unnavigable.
When attempting to load the save dialog ‘data’ url in the player, it does not render anything playable.

Loren Schmidt tweeted these:

I was hoping that whatever this was talking about, it did not affect your image save. But now I don’t know. The example I linked previously seems to only work partially when loaded into the editor and then loaded via URL - much better than your image, but still with some errors. It is possible that something has changed somewhere which renders these ‘saves’ unusable. Or perhaps something else went wrong.

I’m sorry, I don’t know how to fix this. It looks like you will have to reconstruct it after all.

I did, yeah.

Thanks for helping. It shouldn’t take that long to redo.

A couple of neat developments.

loren schmidt is great and i’m glad i could be one of the people to let sb know about her way back when. looking forward to trying the necrodancer-looking dungeon crawler and cellular automota platformer she’s been making videos of.

still need to play strawberry cubes. keyboard input wasn’t working when i first downloaded it but that’s probably been fixed at this point
