So hey, my physical copy of this game showed up today and the cover art is still glorious. According to the back of the box, the cover art was done by Hiroaki Shioya, who did four other known covers for Mega Drive games and they are all bangers.
I actually already had the Mega Drive Vermilion, but man, I might have to catch them all.

Vermilion rules, but only if you aren’t able expecting things like a story or any of that character bullshit. It’s just straight RPG stuff, which is fine with me, but yeah.
