I mocked up an earlier cover with the 3 rockstars (Edgar, Better, Johnny) and lots of guitars. EA didn’t like it because Betty was “inappropriate” not for kids! So I removed Betty,and replaced her with a bunch of Monitors in this second version of the cover:
its not DOPE per se i think the american cover of total distortion is cooler but ive never seen it before now and THATS pretty dope

it was very difficult to do that giant print version of Mr. Red, because computers were so so super slow and RAM was minimal. I kept crashing photoshop, and had to reduce the size of the graphic multiple times. I would make a move, like smearing with a brush, and it would take 2-3 minutes to finish that tiny edit. took me about 3 days to finish the box graphics at print resolution as I recall. Also, I did not want Mr Red as the cover, but we hired a design firm who specialized in Game Packaging, and they went through all my art and came up with that basic design idea.
