I feel like these Sony covers are somehow too uniform in style as a set. The central figure is always in the same position in roughly the same size and a lot of them use an inverted silhouette inside a larger silhouette. Placed side by side they all blend together aside from their color. They should have just hired Ayame Kojima or Makoto Tsuchibayashi or Tomomo Kobayashi to do the entire set. And I’m not just saying this because I miss their work!! I swear!!!

My second trip to Japan, was about 1 month after Snake Eater released.
I took one, minutes long excursion to check out game stuff. And remember being envious that they had Shinkawa art for their cover art:
