i’ve always loved that cover, also an underrated album in the Beach Boys discography. Can’t help but think the album art perfectly mirrors the state of The Beach Boys circa 1971. Their 70’s output is so bizarre and depressing, there’s this whole chapter of their career that most people aren’t even aware of. “Until I Die” is a masterpiece.

whoa this is crazy music! there’s no guitars? its very interezting… kinda like sitting on the back of an old fashioned bus, feeling every bump along the road… but its a lil bit of a scary place not too bad tho. Happy Halloween music.

it comes out of a UK underground lo-fi “acid house”/techno kind of space but it’s a bit more idiosyncratic and like it’s a half remembered thing you’re watching on a warped VHS tape. some early Aphex Twin stuff is a little bit like this to me and i think it’s a bit of a conscious early 90’s throwback i guess. but yeah the vibes are good.
