DO U WANNA LIKE MY DRAGON?

Most definitely.

It features a lot of things that series vets will like, but you don’t need the context of the series to enjoy them.

Also, as I know you are down with the puro, the fighting in this game is pretty great.

I don’t know enough to answer but the Japan I want to explore is late-80s boomtimes Japan. Everything about the context–land deals, running entertainment halls, goofing off in arcades–makes more sense here.

I want you to be explicit about where you work and what you’re working on so badly

I think I’ve given enough clues (or stated outright?) but I’ll say it clearly after we announce which should be very soon.

I like where I work! but I miss working on stuff where we questioned basic principles often. Here received wisdom is law, and you have to build atop it.

addendum: someone’s gotta post about the game in the news thread when it gets announced, with accompanying mocking/anticipation

So now we’ve got an Astro Fractions 2 mystery in the news thread, huh?

The business card holder is very cute. I sold mine for $15. I hope the new owner legit uses it.

I managed to get the last physical copy of this at my local EB Games. Excited to start playing later today

The first karaoke event has sold me on this game and the rest of the series

Kiryu gets so into singing the rock song, he imagines himself, his BFF and his Yakuza Dad all up on stage in the rock band performing. GOTY, probably

Try the power ballad where he gets mad tearful about his orphanage.

GOTY so far, definitely.

As did I, ha.

it is a Good Quest

Look Majima is the shit. Just get to him and use slugger style and everything in your life will improve.

downside: Majima isn’t nearly as good a straight man in sidequests

doesn’t quite have the ‘hulking gorilla in gentleman’s clothes’ vibe going

I just did the side quest where you have to escort someone across a bridge who people keep messing with due to his dope jacket. I am never going to finish the main story with all these side missions.

“Do you think it’s your face and not the jacket?”

Yeah getting lost in sidestories is standard Yakuza game goodtimes.
