The guys behind Dragon Ball Z Abridged recently launched a separate channel for their original anime related shows. Still remains to be seen how it will work out but for now Saturday Morning Sushi is the highlight in which they go into the western localisation history of various shows. Hoping they keep at it despite a rather lukewarm launch viewership
I feel so conflicted. The hot news today is that Kenshin author has been charged for possession of child pornography and I find that completely reprehensible and will not defend him. But I still can’t find it in myself to completely cut my feelings from his works. Busou Renkin was and still is a thing I connected with and enjoy on many levels. I still want to go on liking BR while distancing myself as far away as I can from Watsuki.
I said “nope” in anime club" but yeah same actually. Separating art from artist is a really complicated thing. None of his work that I’ve engaged with reflects that side of him (at least, I think), but I’ve praised the auteur so much that I’ll never be able to fully separate those works from him. It’s a mess. Fuck that guy.

this is more of a still image than a teaser, but the 2018 anime based on that 2015 gridman short seems to maybe sort of officially be using the “superhuman samurai syber squad” name and i find that delightful

Based on the first half hour this is my new favorite TV.
I feel like I was told that season 2 of Gundam 00 was laughably bad, but while it’s certainly different from season 1, I still really like it? I have 5 episodes to go to finish it and then the movie of course.
