I had never heard of this old japan-only twin peaks inspired psx horror game by the clock tower dev until today but apparently a fairly unlikely fan translation patch was recently completed for it:

I should note after researching this a little more, apparently the developer of the patch has claimed that it isn’t truly complete yet and still crashes easily. He said he released the source in hopes that someone might help finish it up, but that was interpreted as it being complete.
Still exciting though… how difficult is PSX romhacking I wonder?

gamesindustry.biz has been really falling off lately
on the same front page is an interview with jblow about how indies should stop trying to be a part of a community and just make good games
because you know, obviously what you do to deal with having no money is voluntarily adopting crushing loneliness
think they had some david cage interview or whatever too recently
why are people still talking with (much less about) david cage
every day teaching instead of game dev becomes a better decision
I wouldn’t say gamesindustry.biz ever had an editorial position more enlightened than, say, The Economist
but Gamasutra is a shadow of the old Game Developer magazine and you can still pull out nuggets even if it’s quoting the words of silly people
For example, a post today get very explicit about the Epic store’s terms for small game exclusives:
the exclusivity deal included a “minimum guarantee on sales” that matched Glumberland’s original forecast for sales across every store.
i.e., Epic is paying the cash early (very helpful so you don’t have to get loans on this promise), the amount is taken from the first $X of sales (pretty standard, even for publisher arrangements)
