I mean this is certainly true but on the other hand most games I’ve really enjoyed in the past few years have completely turned me off to them from their respective trailers.

I feel like in theory the last of us 2 could maybe have a worthwhile story to tell from the basic premise.

I want to believe it can be a good game because I still love the original a lot.

we’ll see I guess

I tried skimming the TLoU2 trailer but every spot I clicked to was a black screen, I guess the fadeouts between cutscenes. I didn’t think it was a game that would benefit from a sequel and nothing about the concept of the sequel sounds particularly interesting (it’s either a revenge story or a saving a hostage story, I guess?), but TLoU’s multiplayer was a ton of fun and I hope it’s coming back. It was basically Gears of War with a slight more emphasis on stealth aspects.

When TLoU Remaster hits PS+ next month I should see if there’s an active community on PS4.

since they officially revealed joel is in the game I guess as an AI partner, I feel like the game could explore the ways their relationship has changed, and maybe do some interesting things to follow up on the morally ambiguous ending of the first game?

idk maybe i’m just a slut for escapist single player action games and just want more let me live

they’re finally releasing mario 128

I am very there for Mizuguchi flocking simulation; they’ve really rebuilt into something better than Q ever was.

When I first saw this I had a brief moment where I hoped it was a game, but it’s one of my favorite clinical satire albums

I unexpectedly loved The Last of Us, but they have yet to show any reason why they wanted to make more of this other than ££

i think this might be what terrence howard was talking about??

when you turn the difficulty all the way up last of us starts to feel almost like a srpg and it’s great but at this point sony first party ~ Prestige ~ stuff is so far up its own arse i have minimal interest in 2

all of you lamenting the existence of TLoU2

this is the future you created when you didn’t buy Gravity Rush 2

I bought it >:

Can’t wait for gamers to lose their mind to murder again.

jak 2 was the only one where the “comic relief” bits actually felt like comic relief, and not just unwarranted smarmy obnoxiousness

that they managed to contrive a scenario in which you look forward to daxter’s wisecracks is a mystical feat beyond my comprehension

Boo the Respawn VR game is Medal of Honor

I’m going to go full circa 2007 Starmen.net for Titanfall 3 y’all

@VastleCania looks like they’re going to let the Quest work tethered to a PC so you don’t need to do streaming

Aw

That’s less interesting than I could’ve imagined

it is kinda funny that the guys who founded infinity ward to not work on medal of honor anymore are back working on medal of honor

They made medal of honor games and got tired of that and left to create infinity ward then they were tired of ww2 and had to fight to make modern warfare. then activision wouldn’t let them make their scifi robot game cause the modern war crimes they had to fight to make in the first place was successful so that’s what you do now, so they left to make respawn then activision made a couple scifi robot callow doodys anyway, and now respawn is making a vr medal of honor. capitalism is the most efficient use of resources and labor

i mean, idk, i’m just in it for ellie until the games are no longer any good

not entirely sure what they can do that they didn’t already do in the first one (and the dlc), but i mean that one surprised me so maybe they can again…!
