lots of baldur’s gate 3 stuff today. is there a thread that I’m missing, or are we just silent on this one. it looks, predictably enough, like DOS3.
silent for now (it’s too early imo, a lot of the real RPG heads here prefer pen and paper stuff or ESO mush to modern CRPGs, and I, who actually plays and enjoys a lot of modern CRPGs, haven’t seen enough to be interested)
I mean the ESO crew all thinks ESO is garbage it’s just endearing low-stress garbage.

yeah I didn’t mean to imply that it’s an error in your judgment or anything – really I think it’s interesting that there appears to be some commonality between liking traditional RPGs and being willing to futz around in an MMORPG or something analogous whereas I have both never been a pen and paper guy and find videogames a poor low-stress medium in general in that if I’m not up to playing something more pointed I find watching a movie or reading a book more rewarding. not sure if there’s something there but maybe!
