It’s amazing how low key in general this is for a podcast that spends at least twenty minutes talking about a dude who sells porn doujins of his own professional work.
But lets get to voting, shall we? Our contestetants this time around are:
Monster World IV
Monster World IV follows the adventures of a young green haired girl named Asha. One day Asha is listening to the wind when she hears a faint call for help from the four elemental spirits, immediately she begins a journey to aid them. Along the way Asha befriends a genie and a small blue monster called Pepe as well as learns of an evil force approaching the kingdom of Rapadagna. Now with the help of her new friends Asha must rescue the four endangered spirits and save the kingdom from evil.
Vapor Trail: Hyper Offense Formation
In 1999, a terrorist organization known only as DAGGER has occupied the city of New York where they have hacked into military defenses world-wide, established their own military command and gained access to nuclear missile silos. They hold the world hostage in this position and promise to cancel their threats of destroying the Earth only until the world’s governments relinquish their power to DAGGER.
A Special Forces Air Unit is called in to attack DAGGER and cripple their strongest defenses and headquarters in New York. Until then, the city remains silent.
The game’s story is about a king trying to get his throne back that has been taken by an evil wizard. At the beginning of the game the player chooses between the King’s son, Brodan, or the King’s daughter, Shardan. This does not change the gameplay. The character’s design are heavily inspired by Golden Axe and the works of Robert E. Howard. The prince and princess will travel all over their kingdom from the city gates to zombie graveyards in their quest to take their kingdom back.
I’ve not listened to the final product because then I would have to listen to my own voice but I’ve made it clear that if I win choice, we are heading full steam into Suffer County
the pc-fx game that’s like resident evil is team innocent. someone was working on a translation patch for it years ago, but it never came out as far as i can tell.
I keep wanting to have something insightful to say in response to having listened but it’s just going to end up with me feeling bad about never commenting at all so: I listened and liked this! I sort of thought Growlanser was actually Langrisser before this but now I know better and hope that remake one day get localized for the Switch.
it’s funny you say this because if you poke around, the team that did Langrisser (at least, the latter ones) split off and then got absorbed by Atlus where they made Growlanser
Yeah, I think I cut out a lot of the growlancer discussion from the end because I was worried it was too much ‘Tiger asks everyone to sell them on growlancer’ and I wasn’t sure that made for good podcast material.
Conversely, @Tulpa saying ‘Ovary Loaded’ was fucking hilarious to me, which is why I left that part of the convo in.
