you ever draft an AA heavy team and pop Bloodlust and now things die and people stay alive and you aren’t locked into Ancestral as a choice
somehow HotS is still getting new content and they just got Mei as a new warriortank and I got her in a brawl and she is fucking dumb but in a good way, not in a broken way
I think a lot of this is people not realizing they need to step out of blizzard and then they get stunned and your team runs the CC train on them. also one of her level 1 talents is self-sustain on any slow or stun and then you get a talent later on that makes all her autos slow? it’s kind of great.
you can slide in on someone slowed or stunned, knock them back and then either ult them or their team and create a bunch of separation and CC and the whole time you have an ice block that heals you
so she’s just like she is in OW besides the mobility and she’ll probably fuck the meta over like she does in OW as well
it’s kind of weird how bad a lot of meis I’ve played in qm have been considering that she seems so easy to be good with? like you have a ton of CC, an escape and engage and an ice block that heals you on a 25 second cd and people are still going 2-8 with her
made the mistake of playing this in not-aram mode and holy crap
it’s astounding how bad people are at anything but teamfighting here - three games in a row my team loses because someone makes some incredibly bad decision for basically no reason in a way that makes it so even if that bad decision is executed perfectly, we don’t gain anything from it
my recent experience with not-ARAM is that quick play was a fetid wastepool but storm league was pretty okay
the standout experience being a game on Spider Temple where I queued as healer/bruiser and two other teammates drafted a healer and a bruiser so I picked Valla and ended up solo soaking mid and top against a Xul while the teams 4v4’d in bot. then we hit 10 and slid into the teamfighting phase and we ran wild over the other team
anyway, main support, then nothing is your fault, except when it is (or, god forbid, you pick Ana and fuck up all your skillshots)
I don’t know what ranks you guys are at, but if you’re bad like me, getting good at double blade varian is a great way to climb up through the dredge leagues.
Everyone is so busy just fighting for soak and getting into dumb fights that are not worth you joining anyways, so you can just go and solo boss, or take two camps in between objective. If you get really good at timing this, you can do it such that the camps/boss are starting to push down lane just as objective is winding up, and then enemy team has to contend with preventing their lane from getting pushed in while also managing objective, and they just don’t seem able to effectively do this at my rank, most of the time.
One time I was playing Dehaka and idk what the moba terminology would be but we ended up in a weird stalemate like.alot of the buildings were gone and both teams were just camping in their own bases and every now and then one or the other would make a foray into the other teams base but the skill levels were perfectly .matched and neither team was tilting and it was the cursed raven shrine or whatever map and after like 15 minutes of that situation I tunnelled to get the curse and we won and it was the moba-est thing that has happened to me so far. It was the mo-best. It was a, like, a real ‘moblast’. It made me feel like a real mobe*.
